Dont’ be a darkwad
Another fine PSA from the fine folks at Momentum and the ladies of B:C:Clettes. Get some lights on those bikes.

Check out the Craigslist Ad he just posted as well as the damage to his bike and his face (icky) over at MBL. I hope the driver of the SUV develops ulcers and dies puking blood, unloved.
You left your window with me. - 27 (Bloomington and 39th)
You were driving an SUV going east on 39th this morning. I was the southbound cyclist on Bloomington whose face miraculously went through your side window instead of being smashed by the front of your vehicle.
You sped away from the scene, but you left some of your window behind. The doctors in the ER retrieved a fair amount of glass from my facial wounds before they stitched me up, and I’d love the chance to give your property back to you. If you’d like to take me up on the possibility, I can start retrieving the rest of your window from my helmet.
Fuck! First off, thank you for wearing your helmet. Thank you. I am tearing up writing this, thinking of what could have been.
Local cyclist and friend Marie was involved in a bad accident on Lake St last night. Word is she was running errands around 4:30 when the crash happened.
The paramedics said that she smashed in one of the windows on the car and broke off a side view mirror. Physically, she’s pretty banged up. She took a good chunk of the impact with her head. Her helmet is really mangled and was covered in blood, and wearing it probably saved her life. She has a couple dozen stitches on her chin and arm, and tons of road rash everywhere.
We will be passing the hat to get her a new brain bucket since she was such a good little cyclist to be wearing one. Hopefully this will help, a little, to offset the cost of the missed work.
Get well soon Marie! Send her some love. She should be out of the hospital as I write this.
****Update**** - Marie has posted some pictures of her bike after the crash.
Saw this over on Boing Boing dot net.
The likelihood that an individual cyclist will be struck by a motorist falls with increasing rate of bicycling in a community.
Also from Boing Boing a 1946 Disney PSA on menustration, which has little to do with biking except for this frame starting at 7:01.
I like a girl in a helmet.
